Maneka’s move

Letters

TALASEA MP Francis Maneka reportedly joined the Opposition camp straight from his hospital bed still holding a drip.
And reading between the lines with a drip still hanging to his body is a serious scenario PNG watched with interest.
In 2017, Maneka gave up his ministerial portfolio pressured by the PM to entertain Pangu’s defection to government.
Not long after that the same Talasea MP returns to government saying he still has confidence in the government led by Peter O’Neill.
What a shameless hypocrite who’s integrity and character is brought into question by his Talasea voters.
He was not given back his ministry too at the recent ministerial allocations and reshuffle. So what’s next?
Our guess from the street, reading between lines is bribery with cash or material wealth.
So it is highly unlikely that he will be returned come 2022.
PNG want leaders who are patriotic and nationalist and off course God fearing running the affairs of the country.
