A MAN charged with unlawfully wounding his wife has been remanded in custody after appearing in the Lorengau District Court in Manus.
Pesoi Pokou, 37, is from Buliso village in the Lelemadih Bupichipeu local level government.
Manus police commander Chief Inspector David Yapu said the alleged incident happened on March 19.
It is alleged that Pokou attacked his wife while she was preparing breakfast for their children to go to school.
Police allege that Pokou continued to attack her after she fell down.
She was treated at Lorengau General Hospital. She reported the matter to police after she was discharged from the hospital.
Yapu said Pokou appeared in court on March 25.
In a separate case, police arrested four men and six women for drinking homebrew and in possession of weapons.
