THE Manus branch of National Alliance Party is calling for reconciliation for the sake of political stability in the New Guinea Islands region.
Manus branch chairman Francis Posanau and party secretary Hilary Malai have reaffirmed their undivided support for the incumbent NA deputy parliamentary leader for NGI, Paul Tiensten.
“The NA executive arm of the Manus branch in its wisdom announced its commitment to take the leading role to negotiate for reconciliation among the NGI parliamentary wing, its executive arm and unity among the five provincial branches.” Mr Posanau and Mr Malai said in a joint statement.
“The NA arm of Manus and its financial members appeal to the Governor of Manus Michael Sapau to reconsider and rescind his decision resolved with the other NA NGI leaders on Jan 17 to remove Mr Tiensten as NA NGI deputy parliamentary leader.”
