KUNDIS Primary School in Enga received a K50,000 funding from the Mapai Foundation to support its infrastructure projects.
The foundation, run by Jacob Luke owner of Mapai Transport and Logistics company, presented the K50,000 cheque to headmaster Nick Lapen. Luke was terminated from grade eight in 1978 with others over a protest against teachers and worked hard to become one of the successful businessman.
He urged students in Kundis and Enga to avoid what he did in his school days to obey their parents and abstain from being bad to be good and successful in whatever one aspires to achieve in life.
“Obey your parents. Avoid being in group and being bad,” Luke told the students. “Always obey and listen and respect others. When you face problem, never give up. There is always a way out.
“Be faithful to God and seek blessing from him in your education and life.”
