Maprik Secondary gets computers

MAPRIK Secondary School, in East Sepik, will have 40 desktop computers installed in its library for students and teachers to use.
Principal Raymond Bakavi said K180,000 was used to renovate the old practical skills building to be converted into an electronic library.
Bakavi said the provincial education gave K160,000 and K60,000 came from the school.
A VSat would soon be installed so teachers and students could access the internet and use email.
The school is one of the oldest in the province. It has an enrolment of 900 students.
This year, the school will be graduating its first Grade 12 students.
The electronic library building was officially launched during the National Literacy Week last Tuesday.
