ACTING Sports Minister James Marape has conveyed the Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare’s best wishes to all members of Team PNG at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India.
Marape, who was on his way to India for the Commonwealth countries sports ministers’ meeting, met Sir Michael in Singapore, who purportedly told him to convey his message to the PNG sportsmen and women.
The minister relayed Sir Michael’s message while visiting the Team PNG at their Games Village.
Marape attended the ministers’ conference with his PNG Sports Foundation chief executive officer Iamo Launa and the former CEO John Kambuou who travelled as Marape’s aid on sporting matters.
Marape strongly believed that PNG had the potential to repeat what they achieved  at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
