PRIME Minister James Marape says he wants to see more investments by South Korea in Papua New Guinea’s agriculture and fisheries, especially in coffee, tea and tuna.
Marape welcomed South Korea’s new ambassador Ho-Jeung Kang to PNG on Friday and told him that he hoped to see his country’s involvement in downstream processing in agriculture and fisheries.
He highlighted the business environment in Papua New Guinea, mentioning in particular the independence and competency of the country’s judiciary to adjudicate over matters of business that needed legal attention.
Marape said Papua New Guiena looked forward to continuing bilateral relationship with South Korea.
Kang will serve his term of up to three years.
