THE people of Tebi in the Tari-Pori district of Hela have praised their MP and Finance Minister James Marape for bringing electricity to their communities.

The people said in a statement that Marape had fulfilled some of his aspirations for development in his electorate.

They said Marape had provided goods and services which they had been deprived of for a long time.

Marape recently presented K450,000 to Mbale Electrical services to connect electricity to Kikita, Hoiebia, Kupari and Piwa villages.

The people said in the last term, Marape delivered road infrastructure to connect remote areas and this term he had embarked on rural electrification.

They said despite wearing three caps as Minister for Finance, Education and leader of government business, Marape had time for his electoral duties and they were proud of him.

“We, the people of Tebi LLG, take the rural electrification project development strategy of the leader with heartful praise as many of our mothers and Christians pray for essential services to empower our people and reduce poverty and bring sustainable economic development,” they said.
