MARIJUANA continues to be a menace in society, a police officer with the National Drug and Vice Squad says.
Detective Sgt Morgan Bruno said this after officers confiscated about 5kg of marijuana at the Funeral Home settlement in Erima, National Capital District.
“The area in which the raid was conducted is known for bag-snatching and pick-pocketing,” Bruno said.
“People smoke marijuana and then get the courage to do such illegal activities.”
Bruno said even school children were getting into the habit of smoking and getting involved in criminal activities.
The joint operation was carried out by the squad, NCD dog unit and Gordon police after a tip-off.
