Hanema said that more than 200 people in the village who had been growing marijuana and those who had been engaged in homebrew production surrendered everything to police after attending a week-long crusade hosted by the Ialibu Lutheran Church and other denominations called the Body of Christ.
“During the week-long crusade, individuals, families and the community as a whole surrendered to God for forgiveness and repentance,” Hanema said.
Hanema acknowledged the efforts from church pastor Willie Yamba, the church members and ward councillor Simon Kela for taking the initiative to lead the crusade and then help ing the young men and women to surrender drugs and alocohol items to police.
He advised the youths and the community to uphold their commitment and decision as this was witnessed by God and the Government.
