I WRITE with deepest regret as a final year student of University of Goroka’s (UOG) agriculture extension and rural development programme.
I do not see any graduates of this programme getting a quality or highly-paid job.
Although the industry is looking for agriculturalists, many are not aware UOG offers such courses.
UOG is known as a teacher-training school but it is now branching out to offer courses such as automotive engineering, natural science and arts, among others.
Upon getting a degree, we want to get a job that helps to make ends meet.
I urge UOG’s human resource section and the responsible department to start marketing its students starting this year.
