Buka market in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville is being relocated at a cost of  K700,000. Construction work at the new site on Isa beachfront is expected to be completed by the end of this year. Work is being carried out by Katsin Plumbing and Construction Company which had involved youths from Hahon and Saposa areas of west coast Bougainville. This is the first major work on the market since it was built more than 25 years ago, company managing director Chris Helagen said. The relocation was funded through district support grants of local MP Fidelis Semoso.
