Mark’s Travel and Outdoor Sport Ltd has won the most-interactive booth award in the Vision City Trade Expo on Saturday.
The 10-day Vision City Trade Expo ended on Saturday.
Mark’s award was based on customer votes.
The firm specialises in military-style outfits, and travel and sports items.
Manager Orlando Molina Jr said their booth attracted a lot of customers because of the items displayed, and especially a vehicle that was set up at the main entrance of the mall.
Molina said winning the award was because of product originality, innovative displays and how interactive they had been with customers during the expo.
The best-decorated booth award went to BS Mart.
Operations manager Bing Regondola said they specialised in products from the Philippines.
“We are actually introducing Filipino products to Papua
New Guinea and the feedback from the locals is overwhelming,” he said.
“We just put up simple decorations.
“Our win was because of the customers’ votes.”
Regondola said they also specialised in catering for special events.
They have a restaurant, a bake shop and a coffee shop at Taori Street, Gordon.
The media’s favourite booth was awarded to RH Trading Ltd.
National production manager Stephen Ellis said they were focusing on local products and agriculture.
“We’ve been doing this for three years now,” he said.
“By doing this we are promoting Papua New Guinea employment.”
Mall marketing manager Maureen Esta said they anticipated a greater participation in the next expo.
She said those wishing to organise such events to promote Papua New Guinea small businesses should approach mall management.
