Maru is kickboxing patron

 Minister for Trade Commerce and Industry and Yangoru-Saussia MP Richard Maru has accepted a new role as the Patron of the East Sepik Provincial Kickboxing Association (ESPKBA).

He was offered the patronage last Thursday after announcing that Yangoru-Saussia District will be the major sponsor of the association’s July tournament.

The championship will be held at Bapendu village in West Yangoru LLG.

“I accept the role as the patron of the ESPKA and am also grateful that the district will be hosting the kickboxing tournament in July at Bapendu village,” said the Minister.

“I want this tournament to be successful.

“I will give my full support in seeking minor sponsorships as well. 

“The successful outcome of the tournament will affirm that Yangoru-Saussia District is capable of hosting future tournaments for the province”, Maru, a keen sportsperson himself, said.

The East Sepik Provincial Kickboxing tournament which will see the participation of fighters from all the districts in East Sepik Province.
