The sports duo were among 76 Papua New Guinean residents and former residents who were recipients of the Orders of Papua New Guinea announced by acting official secretary Bill Taraso
“On behalf of the PNGRFL, our partners and sponsors and the rugby league family in PNG, I would like the take the opportunity to congratulate coach Marum and captain Ase Boas for the recognition by the Government,” Tsaka said. “They deserve the award in recognition of their achievements in rugby league.
“It is an indication of the commitment and hardwork these two gentlemen have put into in rugby league over the last few years.
“We, as the administrator of the sport, we are proud of their recognition.
“It is recognition for Marum and Boas but we also feel that it is our recognition because of the work that we done towards their achievement.”
