Marum confirms Boas to return to Hunters fold

WITH the SP PNG Hunters still finding their feet in attack, coach Michael Marum confirmed that former captain and playmaker Ase Boas would return to join the group.
Marum said in the post-match press conference on Sunday that the 30-year-old’s return would be a boost for the SP-sponsored side struggling to win a game after three rounds.
“We need him back in the team because he’s got experience and we can use him,” Marum said.
“He is already here in the country but he will have to travel home to Kokopo to sort out some of his family issues before we can have him back.
“So we’ll see how he goes and will officially announce that in the coming days but right now we just want him to settle down first before he comes back and joins us.”
Marum said the halves combination was still a work in progress however he was impressed with 20-year-old Justin Yoka’s performance who scored a try and set up on on debut.
With Yoka’s form and hooker Charlie Simon looking assured, Boas’ inclusion in the halves is expected to further improve the Hunters offence.
