NGIP Agmark Gurias have stood down three players due to non-performance among other issues.
Head coach Michael Marum said the three players, who were shown the door  were Rolly Matalau, Chris Lagisa Jr, who was based in Bialla, and Kavieng recruit Lance Kuveu.
He said the three players had not met his expectations.
Cautioning current players in the side, Marum said players must perform or step aside as there were a lot of skilled players in East New Britain’s local leagues.
The three replacements who joined the team yesterday from the local league are Alkan Tololo Jr and Jimmy Peter Jr from the Muruks club and Fabien Pulu from Panthers.
Marum, a former Kumuls assistant coach, said Gurias would be working hard this week to minimise their error rate and to make better use of possession inside opposition territory.
He was satisified that the team’s defencive patterns were effective.
With the first nine games of the season out, he urged his players to start performing and to stop using the excuse of being inexperienced as they already had enough games (especially away matches) to gain the confidence.
After their round one loss in Goroka, the Gurias are keen to record a win at home  against the visiting Bintangor Goroka Lahanis, which would also be a payback for the 30-point drubbing at the hands of the defending premiers.
