I WRITE to express our disappointment concerning  our Talasea open MP Francis Marus.

The  following  are  issues you need to explain to the people who voted you in.

We want to know why you were  not  present during  the  passing  of  the  K171 million West New Britain provincial budget.

Most  of  the  K2.9  million DSIP funds have been spent on purchasing 22 vehicles for local level governments in Talasea, but these vehicles are now used to serve personal interests.

We do not need 10-seater vehicles, but tangible projects,  developments and major services  that will benefit  the  people.

The member needs to advise the people how much money  has  been allocated to support Talasea students in the WNB provincial scholarship  scheme.

The member also needs to publicly outline the major developments or projects in his electorate that have been completed and those that are still underway as K50 million of DSIP fund  in  the  last  five years is a lot of money for a place like this.

Marus  is  hardly  heard   in the media or seen in the province or electorate.

You should be spending 80% of your time in the Talasea district office, rather  than  in Cairns or Port Moresby.

People are tired of seeing your officers every day.

Leave your comfort zone and be with your people to understand their needs.

Your absence in the province clearly indicates that you have not attended most of the provincial executive council (PEC) meetings since we elected you for your second term.

The governor and all PEC members need you to be in the province to be    part of the team.

Finally, the people also need you to be in the province so we know we have a member who cares for his people.
