Masere doing well

Letters

SOME politicians have the true heart of serving the people while others only pretend to care while serving their own interests.
See what Ijivitari MP Richard Masere has done as a first-time MP.
Taking into account infrastructure developments and other goods and services, Masere did more than other Ijivitari MPs.
He easily outperformed MPs of other electorates in the country.
I can say that he has done a lot in terms of development and serving his people.
The rural electrification project for Jonita and Kukuma, the feeder road upgrade for Seva, Kauseda, Bunasenanda and Kevoto are some of the projects he has initiated, including the ambulances and trucks to health facilities and schools in the district.
The construction of Tufi and Kauseda aid post is another development project.
He has overseen the street light installations and the construction of bus stop shelters in Popondetta town.
He purchased a two-tonne truck for rubbish removal and other work in the town.
Several boats were given to coastal communities in the district for them to use as ambulance, for travel and for transporting garden produce and their fish to markets.
Under Masere, small to medium enterprise (SME) groups and individuals were supplied with day old chicks with full supplement of stock feed.
Coastal communities were given fishing nets.
The distribution of roofing iron and solar lighting set is continuing.
With these, I can say that Masere has done a lot for his people.
Keep up the good work.
