Masiu begins service delivery in electorate

SOUTH Bougainville MP Timothy Masiu is not waiting for the new government to be formed before delivering services to his people.
He praised an advocate group opposing violence towards women and children for helping people in his electorate.
Masiu thanked the Equal Playing Field during the graduation of a second batch of change-makers in Buin and Siwai in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville. He encouraged more partnership between his office.
Participants will be visiting schools in the area to teach students about having respect.
They will raise awareness on gender-based violence, child protection and human rights.
They will be facilitating the Equal Playing Field for Schools programme, using sports as a vehicle to deliver the messages.
The target audience are students between the 12 and 15.
It uses sporting concepts to explain the importance of gender equality and respectful relationships to young people.
They believe school children are at an age where they begin to develop their identities and explore relationships with others.
