THE 2019 Open Masters 7s soccer tournament scheduled for this weekend is gaining interest, with 17 teams (10 senior and seven junior) to participate.
The tournament from Friday is the initiative of Lae Football Association president Roy Kamen.
The organising committee comprises Susan Watpore, Ian Bengkadul, Alex Toki and Aaron Mungalion.
Toki said invitations had been given to former soccer players (male and females) over the age of 35 to take part.
He said there was a K300 fee for senior teams, junior sides would pay K150.
The juniors had been divided into two divisions: 9-12 year-olds and 13-15 year-olds.
Toki said teams could pay their nomination fees into Bank South Pacific Top Town branch under the account name: City United FC and account number 1001635733.
“After making deposits team managements must contact the committee members to confirm their participation in the Masters,” Toki said.
Committee members can be contacted for details: Susan Watpore (72857883), Alex Toki (72674571), Ian Bengkadul (73635523) and Aaron Mungalion (70799099).
