KOKOPO mayor Benjamin Mesmin Murliu has outlined his Kokopo urban city authority plan for this year following the passing of a K7 million budget for the urban local level government (LLG). Murliu made the announcement after officiating at the final of the Takaika Youth and Sports Association’s New Year games at the Malakuna ward of the Kokopo-Vunamami urban LLG last week.
He said work would mainly be focused at the ward level.
“The LLG has already passed six policy papers and one of them is that each ward in the urban LLG will receive K5,000 to develop some of its major programmes,” he said.
A further K10,000 will be given.
