BULOLO MP Sam Basil has called on media outlets to stop “making fun” of the leadership of the Melanesian Alliance Party (MAP) between him and Joseph Yopyyopy.
Basil was elected party leader by the MPs who resigned with him from Pangu and joined the MAP.
But Wosera-Gawi MP Yopyyopy who contested the 2017 general election under the party banner insists he was still the party leader.
Basil said the registry of political parties and candidates would confirm who the party leader was.
He said the media “are making a fun day” out of the party leadership tussle.
