Medic commends Government
The National, Friday July 3rd, 2015
CHIEF of emergency at the Port Moresby General Hospital and Pacific Games deputy chief medical officer Dr Sam Yockapua commended the National Government for supporting the Pacific Games through the provision of medical equipment.
Yockapua expressed his sentiments at the UPNG Polyclinic centre yesterday during the presentation of a portion of the 298 pieces of clinical equipment procured by the National Department of Health with the funding by the National Government at the cost of K2.5 million.
“We cannot call this biggest sporting event in PNG a success unless we, the Government and its branches, non-governmental organisations and the public work together in unity.
“We must show our neighbouring countries that we can deliver the event successfully in terms of medical preparedness, security and public behaviour,” Yockapua said.
