Medics top darts tourney

 The Wapenamanda Darts Association in Enga yesterday hosted its grand final tournament.

Reigning champions, Wei Waps Club and newcomers Medics 2 of Mabisanda Hospital were locked head to head in the opening rounds.

Wei Waps, led by veteran Paks Yagalio, showed why they were the best team when they easily won the first two t sets of bst of the five series.

Wei Waps showed no mercy as players of the tournament, Gerry Reto and Anderson Kopiyala skillfully threw their darts to record high scores.

The Medics 2 cut the deficit in the third set, winning narrowly.

Led Mabisanda General Hospital chief executive officer Jenny Reto, they showed determination in the next three sets to take the 2013 Trophy and K4,000.

Waps Association deputy president Maku Kopiyala gave praise to the winning team.
