Melisha thankful to God, family
By LULU MARK
MELISHA Peter donned her church uniform to receive her degree because “I could not have done it without God, my husband and my family”.
She graduated with a bachelor of oral health degree at the University of Papua New Guinea’s school of medicine and health science yesterday.
“First and most importantly, I would like to thank and praise the God of the universe,” Melisha said.
“My mother and all the women that looked after me introduced me to this God that did a lot of things in my life.
“My life had been a struggle, but through it all, in every step of the way, God did not fail me.”
Her seven-month-old son Napoleon Kenneth Jnr accompanied her to the stage to receive degree.
Melisha wore her Seventh-day Adventist church youth uniform for her big day.
“I intentionally wore my youth uniform to show that this day is about the great God I serve,” she said.
Melisha, 25, is from Kagua-Erave in Southern Highlands.
She is married to Kenneth Mundia Peter. She praised her husband for his support.
“When my family cannot meet my needs, my husband who has been my dear friend for 10 years, stepped in,” Melisha said.
“If it was not for this God, I wouldn’t have this amazing lovely husband who did a lot of things which I cannot fully express.”
Her advice to young people is to trust God who can do everything and anything.

Praise to almighty God and, credit goes to her hardworking husband.
That’s the way we (male youths) need to support our wives, sister, mothers and aunties for them to pursue and fulfil such achievement in their living carrier.
