A NEW system of paying school fees from MPs’ DSIP funds has surfaced in Goroka, Eastern Highlands.

The local MP Thompson Haroqkaveh has sent out application forms via his various committee members who are selling these forms to students in the Goroka Open electorate who are entering high school and tertiary institutions.

The member is charging K100 for school fee funding application for high school and technical colleges while a fee of K200 is for tertiary students.

Their application for school fee allocation will be considered only if they pay the appropriate fees.

This is a new but absurd system.

Can somebody in the know explain to the people of Goroka what is going on?
