Members access banking services
The National, Tuesday June 10th, 2014
A corporative society is introducing banking services to its member.
The Apo Angra Angana and Kange (AAAK) Coffee Cooporative wants its member to save money by bringing BSP’s Rural Banking to its cluster groups.
Members in Eastern Highlands, Chimbu, Jiwaka and Western Highlands Provinces can now open new accounts from their respective locations.
BSP and the cooporative launched the initiative in Goroka last Friday. The initiative has also introduced BSP’s piggy bank children.
General manager of AAAK Brian Kuglame said it was important to link the bank with the members in their respective location so that hard earned money from coffee sales was saved and not spent unwisely.
BSP Goroka branch manager Levi Koki commended AAAK Coffee Cooporative for having the vision to bring rural banking to its members.
