A MEMORIAL service for the late Timothy Lepa and late Russ Kaupa will be held at the Oil Search National Football Stadium in Port Moresby tomorrow.
PNGRFL chief executive officer Reatau Rau said the memorial service was to remember and pay tribute to the two distinguished men for their contributions to the development of rugby league in Papua New Guinea.
Rau said the service would start at 11.30am and would be led by PNGRFL chaplain Pastor Arthur Tane.
“This invitation is open to those past and present players, officials and administrators in Port Moresby who knew the men and may have been touched by them in some way,” Rau said. “It is also open to all PNGRFL partners and sponsors who wish to attend.”
Rau said cash donations in lieu of wreaths and flowers would be appreciated.
“There will be offerings, contributions and donations collected during the service which will be divided and sent to their families,” Rau said.
