The National, Wednesday 10th April, 2013

CHILDREN with special needs from the Calan Services in Alotau, Milne Bay, surprised a crowd when they played  instruments  and sang to celebrate National Disability Day last Saturday.

The performance by the visually impaired  was as good as any.

Members of the public joined them at the Cameron Secondary School.

They then went around in vehicles decorated with banners and posters displaying this year’s theme “Sports for all’’ to raise awareness.

Their motorcade went around town, Red Hill and Top Goilanai.

Milne Bay disability action and advisory committee, Milne Bay Disabled Persons Organisation and the physiotherapy department of Alotau hospital organised the day..
