THE Kada Poroman Microfinance in Kokopo, East New Britain, has promoted gender participation by launching another loan product, in Kokopo yesterday.

The new loan product, called the piggy loan, was successfully launched yesterday at the Kokopo Primary School and is now added to nine other loan products with KPML.

KPML board chairman Henry Tavul said this new loan product will help in improving the lives of many people economically in the province, especially women.

“This piggy loan will add value to the lives of the people,” he said.

He added that this loan will be an opportunity to promote the global program of Pikinini Savings Product where students be able to attend finance literacy training so they can develop a mind-set that is geared towards good entrepreneurs.

Tavul said the product is a result of continued dialogue and team work with all stakeholders.
