Migration need to be monitored

Letters

MIGRATION from 21 provinces into nation’s capital needs to be monitored.
Most villagers and aimless Papua New Guineans immigrating into Port Moresby without valid reasons has resulted in chaotic lawlessness.
They are attracted to pull factors such as informal marketing and labour employment.
Which are two main attractions beside others, however, there are no proper amendments that govern those intentions.
Hence, when it fails the cost of living drains all the sufficient possessions they have.
Nevertheless the next opportunity comes gambling, drug dealings, petty crimes and other social issues we are facing in Port Moresby currently.
Instances like the recent attacked on St John ambulance workers and newspaper photographer during Sunday’s Fun Run was a plain evidence of aimless immigration.
It is time now for responsible authorities to take this issue seriously into their consideration.
It needs the governor, and his three open MP’s to combine collaborative effort to restrict aimless movements into Port Moresby.
