Minister: Indonesia poaching

 POACHING of the country’s resources by Indonesia will be discussed through a diplomatic note to be sent to Indonesian authorities, Parliament was told yesterday.

Fisheries Minister Mao Zeming said this in response to questions from Manus MP Ronnie Knight on the illegal fishing and poaching of marine resources in the waters between Manus and West Sepik.

Knight said illegal fishing was being carried out by Javanese and Melanesians
