PERHAPS I am going old or is the Public Enterprise Minister Sasindran Muthuvel completely at a loss to understand the differences between a government-owned service provider and a company providing a commercial service.
The claim he made about Water PNG having the potential to rake in K40 million in profit by merging with Eda Ranu doesn’t make any sense at all.
These are two state-owned businesses and not privately owned companies.
He goes on to say that the Air Niugini and PNG Air is still being reviewed by the government.
This shows that he doesn’t understand his portfolio and the principles of government business enterprises and competing private companies.
