“Today (yesterday) is a celebration of a number of recent achievements, including the finalisation of the 28 sports on the Games programme, the appointment of the chief executive officer of the 2015 GOC, as well as some positive developments towards the finalisation of the venue delivery plan.”
“We look forward to further positive developments in the months ahead,” he added.
Minogue is in Port Moresby on the invitation of Sir John and the incoming PNGSFOC executive to meet with the individual members of the 2015 GOC as part of the PGC’s transfer of knowledge arising from the most recent Pacific Games, in New Caledonia last year.
He said since his visit with the full Pacific Games Council executive three months ago, it was good to see progress had been made.
Minogue urged all stakeholders to keep working together over the next three years to deliver the games.
