ENGA Mioks will count on the experience of former SP Hunters forward Nickson Borana as they look to get off the mark this season with a win over Port Moresby Vipers in Lae on Sunday (1pm kick-off).The Enga government-sponsored side are looking to rebound after coming off a 12-16 loss to Mendi Muruks in round one of the Digicel Cup at the Lae Rugby League Ground last weekend.New Mioks coach Andiki Andrew told The National yesterday that he fielded 11 debutants after 23 players left the club for not wanting to receive the vaccine.Andrew said 70 per cent of the squad were rookies with Kot Kerowa, Ase Gima, Nicky Aure, Slyder Bulu, Danny Gorea and Borana providing experience.“We need experience and the purpose of getting Borana to play for the team is not about winning but using his Hunters and overseas experience to help the boys,” Andrew said. He said they had worked all week on their weaknesses.“The Vipers game is going to be a different game altogether and we want to bounce back from last weekend’s lose,” Andrew said.“We don’t want consecutive loses.”Meanwhile, Vipers coach Leonard Tarum told The National that his men would focus on completing their sets.He said he would rest all players named on the bench last week.
