Mioks beat Lahanis

THE Enga Mioks grabbed their second straight win of the season on Sunday after beating the Goroka Lahanis 20-10 during the round eight double header in Minj, Jiwaka.
The win sees the Engan side move up three places (from 11 to 8) after occupying the bottom spot.
Recently appointed head coach Thomas Neah told The National yesterday that the turnaround in the season was a team effort.
“We wanted to make sure that we got the small things right and after the Dabaris game (Round 7) I knew it was nothing to do with our style but our attitude towards the game,” he said.
“We knew the Lahanis were also coming off a win (against the Cutters) and they would be a serious team to play so we made sure to get our attitude right in defence and attack.
“The effort from Kot Kerowa and Agiru John in front made a big impact for us on Sunday.”
