Mobile registration effective for NID

MOBILE registration for national identity (NID) cards is convenient and corporate bodies should make use of the service to get staff registered, an official says.
Pauline Julius, from the PNGNID office, said in the mobile registration exercise, staff would visit companies, institutions and villages for registration and to issue NID cards when processed.
“This is more convenient because you won’t have to stand in the long line and wait to be served or travel to the NID offices,” Julius said.
“The service is at your door step and we see that it is very effective and we encourage the business community to make use of this service.
“It’s about us working together. It’s not about any individual government agency, the Civil and Identity Registry for that matter. It’s about individual Papua New Guineans being able to register.”
She met with The National’s sales and marketing manager Veronica Marshall yesterday and discussed for NID staff to conduct mobile registration for the company employees.
