Modern technology

Letters

HAVE you noticed how most countries have embraced modern technology and computerised systems?
While the world is heading that way, I ask the question: Where is Papua New Guinea?
I’m saying this because, the NID project is not that effective (biodata cannot be remotely accessed), and whether you like it or not Government officials are still using Gmail accounts, which may raise some security questions.
The government is still importing dummy systems.
Are we going to continue the same way? Are computer science graduates happy in their field? Is there any Information Technology organisation that the Government is consulting when importing new systems?
I think it’s time we wake up.
