Morata needs water supply

The National Letters

HOUSE, water and food are basic elements of life.
They are very fundamental ingredients and necessity for survival.
While every citizen has the above three ingredients, we the people living in Morata are desperately in need of water.
We are finding it difficult to cook food, have shower and washing clothes and cooking utensils.
Our children go to school without having a shower.
How on earth can you live without water?
Please, member of Moresby North West Sir Mekere Morauta, use our district services improvement programme funds to connect water into Morata.
We struggled with no water for more than 10 years.
There is no assistance from the NCD Governor Powes Parkop’s office or even the Moresby North West member’s office.
We honestly doubt if Parkop and Morauta can live without water for a day.
For us at Morata, we can live without water for 10 years.
If there is an award to be given to people living without water, I believe it will be to those of us living in Morata.

  • Parkop and Morauta need to put themselves into these people’s shoes to feel how they are feeling.

  • Instead of concentrating too much on construction, these members have to look at peoples basic needs first. The very people being ignored of water supply are the same ones who put you into the Parliament house. Therefore their needs should be of first priority. It’s time something is done for Morata residence. This problem cannot be neglected forever.
