THE Government continues to lose focus and purpose when it comes to the New Year when honours and awards lists are announced.

The awards and honours, especially knighthoods, have lost significance because it becomes a norm every year where every family member or former politicians are knighted at will.

PNG will have more knights than Australia and other Commonwealth countries given the rate we are pouring the knighthood on the streets.

And if that is not enough, we have our own Logohu awards being dispatched to people at will.

PNG will have more “Sirs” and “ Grand Chiefs” parading around the countryside.
