More trouble for teachers

Letters

WE are told that the payroll and salaries office in Eastern Highlands is not working because the provincial education office has not paid its bills.
This has been a concern for the past six weeks and continuing into the seventh week.
EHP serves almost 6000 teachers from all sectors and this has been happening for the past four fortnights.
This points back to the Alesco Payroll System.
When Alesco is chopped off because the internet bills have not been paid, how can teachers get access to information? How and when do the teachers get to see their salary details?
If the finance office of the education division cannot afford to pay for the internet, who will?
EHP teachers want the provincial administration and teachers’ association president to investigate.
