The SP Port Moresby Rugby League draws for this weekend has come under fire from the affiliate clubs.

With the rugby union’s FORU cup to have its games at the Lloyd Robson Oval, four of the eight senior grade PRL games for the round will be played this afternoon and on Monday.

Two of the four games will be played at 2pm each on both days and will require players at work or in school from the affected teams to either seek permission to leave early or be dropped from the line-up for the game.

This would mean Kone Storm, West, Brothers and Defence cannot field their full strength sides.

The other two matches also scheduled for the two days at 4.00pm each will see Kone Tigers and Souths this afternoon and Hanuabada Hawks and premiers Dobo Warriors on Monday.

Other changes to draws will see for the first time an A grade match (Maiari Eagles–Hohola Flies) played in the morning at 8.30am on Sunday kicking off a packed schedule on the Digicel Cup day.

The day includes four A grade matches and a women’s curtain-raiser to the cup match between the Vipers and the Muruks.
