AN electorate in Port Moresby has begun upgrading its feeder roads as propsed under its five-year plan.
Moresby North East MP and Housing and Urban Development Minister John Kaupa said transport infrastructure and facilities would pave the way for economic and social growth in the electorate.
Kaupa said proper sealing of roads would be done once the feasibilities were assessed by the National Capital District Commission. He urged road users to take precautionary measures when using the new road.
Kaupa said: “Poor transport infrastructure is an impediment to these improvements.
“It imposes high economic and social burdens on our people. So my priority is to maintain all our feeder roads.”
The feeder road upgrade programme covers 8-Mile, ATS to Fareya, 9-Mile, Buswara, 7-Mile Manuti, Tapini, and 9-Mile Morobe block.
