PLAYERS in the Southern Super League will be vaccinated for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) tomorrow and Thursday at the Moresby South Stadium.
The Moresby South Mobile vaccination team will conduct the vaccinations at the venue.
This was confirmed by SSL chairman Bagelo Solien.
He said the vaccinations were required for players, team management and match officials if they wanted to participate in the National Gaming Control Board-sponsored competition which would resume on Nov 5.
He said competition organisers had taken the stand on vaccination to ensure the competition, which was suspended last month, was completed.
Solien said players along with team and match officials could choose whether or not to get vaccinated but the competition rule was ‘No Jab, No Game’ and that any player, team and match official who was not vaccinated could not be part of the competition in that capacity.
He said players, team management and match officials would needed to produce their vaccination green cards to gain excess to the Moresby South Stadium and Sir John Guise Stadium.
Vaccination schedule: Wed, Oct 27 — starting 9am: Moresby South Blacks, Motu Koita Lagatois, Port Moresby Vipers Academy, Pom Suburban Ducks, Koiari Nagavas, Gulf Isou Development, Rigo Raiders and Eda Bulldogs; Thurs, Oct 28 — starting 9am: Funeral Home Laumas, Buria Reds and GRP Western Flames.
