THE Moresby South Rugby Football League (MSRFL) in conjunction with the Moresby South electorate announced yesterday that a logo competition for the Southern Blacks Digicel Cup franchise bid would run from the Monday to Sept 14.
The MSRFL vice-president Bagelo Ben Solien, pictured, said their were looking for a new logo to use for both the local league and their 2019 Digicel Cup bid.
“We’re looking at a new logo for our league and franchise bid, the logo should have Moresby South RFL and the Papuan black snake as the main features, our colors are black (main colour), red and silver,” Solien said.
Solien said the competition would also include one design for the electorate as well.
Solien acknowledged the league’s major sponsor local MP Justin Tkatchenko for supporting the logo competition and giving it back to the people of Moresby South to design.
MSRFL chairman Brown Murema added that the competition would run for four weeks and all entries needed to be handed into their Sabama market office.
“All entries should be addressed to the Moresby South logo competition and hand delivered to the market office before the Sept 14.
“All entries will be considered and the winners notified from contact details on the entries.
“We have two categories the MSRFL Southern Blacks logo and Moresby South electorate logo with K1000 to winning entries.”
Only Moresby South residents, students attending Moresby South primary and secondary schools are eligible to enter.
