Moresby South nines tourney strict on wearing of uniforms

ORGANISERS of the JT Super Nines Cup have advised players and officials to be in full uniforms during their matches at Moresby South Stadium.
Cup director Bagelo Solien encouraged all the participating teams to be properly attired to improve the standard of the tournament.
He said the 18 players and coaching staff of each team should be all in their colours on the field.
“We discourage mixed jumpers, jeans and six-pocket shorts,” Solien said.
“Players and officials will be removed from the field or bench if they aren’t in their team attire.”
He said “if we want to bring footy to the next level, we have to change our attitude now and do it right”.
“We will have a lot of media, print and TV, covering the games, so let’s look smart and sharp in your respective colours,” Solien said.
He said Moresby South Blacks head trainer Charles Kumbi was a great example who always maintained professionalism in full team colours during training sessions and game time.
“This shows that Kumbi is setting the standard and leading by example,” Solien said.
Kumbi plays for Gulf Isou, but helps Blacks as head trainer.
Solien said teams should take pride in their development.
