MOROBE, Central and host NCD remain undefeated in their respective netball matches in the 4th PNG Games played over the past three days.
The girls from Wopa country beat West New Britain and then collected easy points on forfeiture following East Sepik’s withdrawal from the Games.
Central hammered Manus 48-11 and then escaped a near defeat at the hands of the girls from Flying Fox country, Madang 30-29.
Morobe and Central are both in Pool A, and it will be interesting to see them play each other this morning.
Team NCD recorded two impressive wins yesterday but thrashed New Ireland 56-15 and knocked-out Western Fly 34-24.
Netball tournament director Pole Kassman confirmed last night that these three teams were undefeated and were highly favoured to dominate the finals.
She said there was a lot of talented players out in provinces who had shown potential to become representative netballers.
Kassman, who is also the president of Port Moresby Netball Association, said her pick of the tournament was Team Simbu.
Majority of the players are basketballers who are trying out netball.
“Netball is not popular  in Simbu but we are pleased that these players have decided to try it out and were nominated for the PNG Games,” she said.
Kassman said Simbu and New Ireland are two new teams but they have performed exceptionally well despite they lost their matches against other teams.
