THE 65 students from Morobe High School in Huon Gulf district of Morobe have not received their final results from the National Grade 10 examination they sat in October last year.

Their parents have queried the Morobe education division in Lae “but were given the run-around”.

A parent claimed that the delay by the provincial education to register the school as a recognised high school under the Education Department was the cause of the problem.

The school was proposed as technical high but lacked adequate academic and technical facilities and teachers.

Provincial programme education adviser Murika Bihoro was unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile, the principal of Grace Memorial Secondary in Wau, Ipisah Wanega, has flown to Port Moresby to check student certificates at Waigani.

All 164 Grade 12 students from the secondary schools did not receive their certificates because students said “a deputy principal misplaced the student information book which contains internal assessment marks”.
