THE Coca-Cola schools rugby programme was introduced for the first time to the Morobe coast at Busama and Buakap primary schools in the Salamaua local level government (LLG) this year.
Schools and the Salamaua community openly welcomed the programme.
The three schools that were part of the programme, Salamaua, Buakap and Busama, have become a part of this ongoing drive, with confirmed first-time participation in a rugby expo organised by the Supporters Club Rugby Union Morobe (SCRUM) through its sponsors Coca-Cola.
This expo will be held on Nov 27 at Buakap Primary School.
The event will also be followed by rugby expos in the Wampar  and Lae Urban LLG.
Meanwhile, the Bulolo district schools completed their rugby competition with the finals to be held in Bulolo on Nov 16.
Five schools participated in the competition, with St Peters winning the U12 and U16, and Ompiri the U14s.
